Step 1: Open Mozilla Firefox

Ensure Mozilla Firefox is open on your computer.

Step 2: Access the Settings Menu

  1. Click on the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings."

Step 3: Navigate to Privacy & Security

  1. In the Settings menu, click on "Privacy & Security" in the left-hand sidebar.

Step 4: Clear Cookies and Site Data

  1. Scroll down to the "Cookies and Site Data" section.
  2. Click on the "Clear Data..." button.

Step 5: Choose Data to Clear

  1. A new window will pop up with options to clear:

    • Form & Search History: Clears information you’ve entered into forms and the Firefox search bar.
    • Active Logins: Logs you out of websites.
    • Offline Website Data: Clears data stored by websites for offline use.
    • Site Preferences: Resets site-specific preferences.
  2. Use the drop-down menu at the top to choose the time range to clear: "Last Hour," "Last Two Hours," "Last Four Hours," "Today," or "Everything."
  3. Check the boxes next to the items you want to clear.

Step 9: Clear History

  1. Once you have selected the items and time range, click on the "OK" button.
  2. Firefox will start clearing the selected history. This may take a few moments depending on the amount of data.

  • Private Browsing Mode: Using Private Browsing mode in Firefox prevents cookies and browsing data from being saved during your session. To open a Private Browsing window, click on the three horizontal lines (menu) and select "New Private Window."
